Palms - S/T

A supergroup living up to the hype!

With Chino Moreno of Deftones, Team Sleep and Crosses on vocals, with all of the guys from ISIS (no not that one) bar vocals, I must admit to getting a tad excited! Always weary of how a supergroup can underwhelm with so much expectation, this didn't fall into this category thankfully.

It's an incredible album. I still think of the hot sunny summer the UK was having when it came out. It takes me back to it. It's visceral. The emotional weight is obvious, but it's done with a backdrop that knows how to take comfort in what we do have. Soaring post-metal that gets more rewarding each listen, any post-metal/post-rock fan should own this.

In near-mint condition, only played a few times.
