Instrumental psychedelic doom duo Insect Ark create uncomfortable sonicscapes that feel both intimate and icy cold since 2011. Nightmarish horror film-like visions, outer space travel, and gritty noir textures – all of this and more have been conjured up in their past records, the much-praised Portal / Well (2015) and Marrow Hymns (2018), but now, something even bigger has land: The Vanishing.

I saw the band perform at the Lanes in Bristol, and it ended up being 3 days before COVID turned the world upside down. So they were the last band I saw for months! The atmosphere and feel of the bands work really builds and is all consuming.

The Vanishing is a masterpiece!
